Moonshadow – fox in St. Anne’s Park, Dublin

I have never seen a fox in St. Anne’s Park but I have seen many at dusk on the surrounding streets. The park is a perfect habitat for them and I often wonder where they have their dens as I look into the bushes and tree roots. I think of them coming out at night on their adventures to find a bite to eat.

In this illustration my fox emerges from the lush green foliage, surrounded by ivy and holly, just beside the Red Stables. She might be looking for a leftover feast from Olive’s Café, but she will disappear back into the bushes if she sees you.

My illustration uses a mixture of detailed pen illustration combined with digital techniques.
